NXTsports is proud to formally announce the hiring of Brett Manney as Director of Communications, and Dylan Brown as Director, Cradle Lacrosse.
Brett Manney is an extremely well known member of the Philadelphia lacrosse community. Brett is a defenseman for the Philadelphia Wings of the NLL, and also has played professionally for the Rochester Rattlers and the Chesapeake Bayhawks of the MLL. Manney is a 2008 graduate of the University of Delaware where he served as Team Captain his Senior year and helped the legendary 2007 Blue Hen men’s squad reach the NCAA final four. For his off-field contributions to the school and community, Brett was awarded the school’s Outstanding Male Athlete Contributor. Brett is also a Bucks County native and was a standout three-sport athlete at Holy Ghost Prep, a trailblazer, he was one the very first Division One lacrosse recruits to emerge from Lower Bucks County.
Aside from his lacrosse credentials, Brett is an accomplished journalist. He currently serves as a television broadcaster for the Ohio Machine of the MLL, and also has worked extensively for ESPNHS as a writer and lacrosse talent evaluator. As Director of Communications at NXTsports, Manney will use his lacrosse and journalism backgrounds to plan and implement company media relations, marketing and communications strategies. Brett will also continue to serve as a highly popular member of the NXT Lacrosse Club coaching staff.

Additionally, Dylan Brown has officially joined the NXT team as Director, Cradle Lacrosse. Over the last 18 months Brown has been crucial in developing and overseeing NXT’s highly successful Cradle Lacrosse programming for 4-8 year old boys and girls new to the sport of lacrosse. Using Brown’s curriculum, Cradle is designed to teach basic lacrosse skills in a fun, energizing and supportive environment. Brown has taken the lead for NXTsports not only in coaching Cradle sessions, but also in developing the Cradle curriculum and launching the program in new venues. Over the last twelve months over four-hundred kids have participated in Cradle Lacrosse at eight different locations.
Brown was a standout three-sport athlete at Episcopal Academy and later served as captain of the men’s lacrosse team at Ohio Wesleyan University where he graduated in 2009 with a degree is anthropology and sociology. Dylan also formerly served as assistant lacrosse coach at Westerville North H.S. (Westerville, OH), and will continue to serve as Head Coach of the NXT Lacrosse Club 2016 Trashcan Team this summer.
