DENVER – The University of Denver men’s lacrosse team will play the Denver Outlaws on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 1:30 p.m. at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium in the Third Annual Colorado Lacrosse Showcase. Prior to the start of the game, the Pioneers will host their annual alumni vs. alumni game. The MLL Championship weekend has come and gone. It left nothing to the imagination of the fan and it made for a fun weekend on top of Hurricane Irene. The laxer mentality was in full force this weekend when the men in charge decided to play through the hurricane Saturday. Did I approve? Yup. DENVER — The Denver Outlaws announced today that General Manager and Head Coach Brian Reese will be shedding his coaching responsibilities. Reese will continue functioning as the team’s General Manager, and Associate Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator Tom Slate will be promoted to Head Coach.
