Charlotte, N.C. (December 10, 2013) – Charlotte Lacrosse LLC announced today that Adams Beverages has signed on as a new team sponsor and that Bud Light has been named the Official Beer of the Charlotte Hounds.
Elements of the category-exclusive partnership include signage, promotions, hospitality, print and social media. Fans 21+ will be able to enjoy a selection of Anheuser-Busch beverages at all home games.
“Adams Beverages is very excited about the partnership with the Charlotte Hounds. Not only does this allow us to connect with the ever-expanding lacrosse community, it also allows us to support Charlotte sports,” said David Sexton, Adams Director of Marketing.
“It’s exciting to welcome Bud Light back to the team for 2014. We’re looking forward to doing some fun stuff with them at our home games and in area establishments throughout the year,” added Wade Leaphart, Hounds Chief Operating Officer.
About Charlotte Hounds
In January 2011, Major League Lacrosse announced a league expansion for the 2012 season that included Columbus, OH and Charlotte, NC. The team began play in April 2012 at historic American Legion Memorial Stadium. In their first season, the Hounds averaged 5,700 in attendance and finished with a 5-9 record as an expansion team. The Hounds played host to the 2013 MLL All-Star Game and fought their way to the MLL Champ Weekend, losing to the defending Champion, Chesapeake Bayhawks, by one goal in the finall.
