Syracuse, NY – LAXFU Inc., the preeminent lacrosse clothing brand, recently announced the signing of Brendan Loftus as the latest professional player to join “Team LAXFU”. Loftus will assist with product development and marketing to help increase brand awareness as LAXFU continues to expand.
“I am excited to be part of the LAXFU team,” said Loftus. “I see this partnership as a great way to help grow their brand while also helping to grow the game of lacrosse. I’m very impressed with what LAXFU has put together, and I can’t say enough about the quality of their clothing.”
Brendan started his lacrosse career in Watertown, NY, where he was a three‐sport star for Immaculate Heart Central. In 2002, Loftus led New York State in regular season receiving yards for football with 832 yards on 42 receptions in a single season. In lacrosse, he tallied an astonishing 275 career goals and 385 career ground balls. He was voted MVP of the North‐South All‐star game, and was awarded First Team honors for All-CNY, All-North, All-Frontier League, and All-American.
Loftus won the NCAA National Title with Syracuse University in 2008, starting all eighteen games his senior year while scoring four game‐winning goals for the Orange and scoring over twenty goals on the season. He also netted two goals in each of the school’s NCAA tournament victories on the way to the title. Loftus capped off 2008 by winning the prestigious Roy Simmons Jr. Award. Brendan’s hard work both on and off the field earned him the title of “the poster boy of perseverance”. Syracuse head coach John Desko points to Brendan as a shining example for younger players.
After graduating from Syracuse as one of the premier midfielders in the country, Brendan was drafted into the MLL by San Francisco and now plays for the Chicago Machine. At the end of the 2009 MLL season, Brendan was 7th in the league for most goals scored by a midfielder. He was also invited to the 2009 Team USA tryouts.
