NXTsports is excited to announce a comprehensive partnership with MVP Lacrosse. The
partnership brings together NXT, one of the country’s leaders in youth sports with MVP,
the most established and well-respected tradition in lacrosse recruiting events.

“We couldn’t be more excited to work with Jim Stagnitta and MVP,” NXT President &
CEO Andy Hayes said. “MVP has done incredible things in the lacrosse world, especially
with its recruiting events, and to be a part of that is a huge honor for NXT. We can’t wait
to help build on the tradition that Coach Stagnitta has created.”

Stagnitta, a former MLL and Division I Coach of the Year who has also been a head
coach at the Division III level and is currently an assistant at the University of
Pennsylvania, founded MVP in 1989. For 25 years, MVP’s events have consistently been
among the most popular lacrosse recruiting team events for both high-caliber players and
college coaches.

MVP is also unique in that its recruiting events take place exclusively at elite Division 1
facilities and offer college dorm lodging options for all participants. MVP’s event
formula places elite players at elite Division I facilities, providing a real college
experience and platform for recruits to showcase their skills.

MVP is excited to host its first MVP tournament in the Midwest. MVP Midwest will be
held June 12-14 at the elite Big Ten facilities of the University of Illinois at Urbana-
Champaign. Players at MVP Illinois will stay in modern air-conditioned dorms, which
are directly adjacent to the university’s immaculate athletic complex.

MVP’s 2015 summer slate also includes recruiting tournaments at Towson University on
June 19-21, and at the University of Delaware (Newark, Del.) on June 26-28. Caravel
Academy (Bear, Del.) will also serve as the site for MVP’s two youth events, the Blue
Hen First State Shootout tournaments.

“Partnering with NXT is a tremendous opportunity for MVP,” Stagnitta said. “I have
attended NXT events both in my role as a college coach and as a parent, and their events
are recognized by everyone as among the country’s best. I believe partnering with NXT
will be a huge boost for MVP and will ensure that the tradition I’ve built will grow
stronger and continue to provide the high-quality experience that MVP is known for.”
The MVP Delaware and MVP Towson 2015 events are currently at full capacity. Teams
interested in participating should email [email protected] to join the wait list.
There is limited space remaining for MVP Illinois and for the Blue Hen First State
Shootout youth events.

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
