The first annual Play for Parkinson’s fall lacrosse tournament was held this weekend at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, VA. The tournament will benefit the ProjectSpark Foundation and was a huge success. The tournament featured some of the nations best D1 collegiate lacrosse teams: The University of Virginia, Georgetown, Princeton, and Army. The club is a post collegiate traveling team originating out of the New York City metro-area. The Shakerz came together in the fall in 2008 when CJ Greene (Villanova University 00') and co. began talking about putting a competitive team together of "good guys" both on and off the field in the New York area. As is usually the case with CJ, he took the initiative to put the thing together and has been running the show as 'Top Cheese' ever since.
LXM PRO descended on the Philly area yesterday, attracting 3,400 people to the event that combines music and professional lacrosse. Yesterday’s event was at Radnor High School and featured clinics put on by pro lacrosse players, a live concert by rapper Wale, and the LXM PRO Lacrosse Game.

The uniforms were fantastic this year at War At The Shore. Creativity was abundant, the team names were hysterical and the atmosphere was pleasant. There were teams with awesome names such as the Dos Laxis, Buffalo Soldiers, Playboys and Slam Piece Slaxers. USA and Canada met in the World Games championship Saturday. USA came out on top with a come-from-behind win. But both teams wouldn't have taken it the distance without playing well in the Semi's prior to Saturday's thrilling 'ship. This weekend as a precursor to the MLL Draft a team of collegiate all-stars played team USA. The collegiate all-stars was made up of players from all over the country at just about every level. Some players included were Connor Martin (Chapman), Brian Phipps (Maryland), Ken Clausen (Virginia), Jim Connolly (UMass), Michael Kimmel (Hopkins), Max Quinzani (Duke), Chris Daniello (Syracuse) and Nick Tsouris (Yale) just to name a few.
