NEW YORK – May 15, 2015 – Maverik Lacrosse announced that the University of Notre Dame is the latest elite-level team to wear the company’s most advanced lacrosse glove, the MAVERIK ROME RX3. Currently in use by several members of Major League Lacrosse, Notre Dame recently became the first collegiate program to debut the glove, which incorporates innovative and exclusive technologies to ensure exceptional comfort, protection and cooling.

“We’re excited to launch the MAVERIK ROME RX3 glove because it’s built to help players maximize speed and performance,” said Drew Adams, Marketing Manager for Maverik Lacrosse. “Designed for the expert and advanced player, we’ve utilized state-of-the-art materials to enhance durability, protection and comfort, such as our 37.5TM liner that evaporates sweat away from the glove, helping to keep your hand dry while maximizing your grip.”

The MAVERIK ROME RX3 features PORON XRDTM foam in key areas to enhance protection. PORON XRD is soft to the touch but hardens on impact to provide superior protection across the thumb and index finger areas. The innovative material is exclusive to Maverik Lacrosse and Cascade Lacrosse, both lacrosse brands within publicly-traded Performance Sports Group. The ROME RX3 also features a QUATTRO+TM palm with AX SUEDETM to provide a durable, soft and natural feel between the hand and shaft for unmatched handle consistency. On the back of the hand is a FLOWCOOL venting system to allow for maximum air flow.

Beginning on July 4, players, teams and associations can go to factorycustom.com to design, customize and order ROME RX3 gloves. Notre Dame, which is playing in the NCAA Division I quarterfinals this Saturday, wears a custom gold and blue MAVERIK ROME RX3 with a Fighting Irish shamrock embroidered on the glove’s cuff, as well as each player’s number. The ROME RX3 glove will be available at authorized retail locations in September in white, black, navy blue, royal blue, red and gray.
