The Spider 17 incorporates all the benefits of the original Spider Head, but is designed with a more narrow throat as set by NFHS standards. The narrow design allows for increased ball control and retention, a key feature for any offensive-minded midfielder or attackman. New York City – February 14, 2012 – Maverik Lacrosse is proud to announce that its founder and president John Gagliardi from Manhasset was inducted into the Long Island Metropolitan Lacrosse Hall of Fame last weekend in a formal induction ceremony held at the Huntington Hilton Hotel in Melville, NY. The 2011 Hall of Fame inductees also included Greg Gattrano, Scott Craig, Tom Martello, Jim McIntee, Richie Meade, Blake Miller, Tracy Weiner Provenz, Sabrina Gallagher Roszko and Artie Seekamp.
