WASHINGTON, D.C., May 14, 2013 – US Lacrosse is among the national sports organizations publicly endorsing the Youth Sports Concussion Act, a new bill that is expected to be introduced shortly in the U.S. Senate. The proposed congressional legislation is aimed at reducing youth sports concussions by empowering both the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Federal Trade Commission to take stronger actions. Sonoma led 4-2 in the second quarter and 6-4 at the end of the third quarter, but Stanford launched a comeback and outscored Sonoma 4-1 in the fourth to upset Sonoma 8-7 to win the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League championship for the first time since 1982. Greenville, SC – The first seeded and #1 Colorado State University Rams jumped all over the 16th seeded Purdue Boilermakers, breezing past the Great Rivers Lacrosse Conference champions by a 20-3 score. Coast Guard Academy Lacrosse Teams Jump to D3 in 2015

NEW LONDON, Conn.–The U.S. Coast Guard Academy Division of Athletics announced today that it will elevate the men’s and women’s club lacrosse teams to varsity status, effective with the 2014-15 academic year. The teams will compete officially for the first time as Division III intercollegiate squads playing in the NEWMAC Conference in the spring of 2015.
